The Anergy test facility is centred on an HK510X indirect-fired rotary kiln operated in series with a horizontal direct-fired kiln acting as a pyrolysis gas combustor, known as a SACTO.
Feedstock is introduced via controlled screw feeding to ensure consistent throughput and residence time. Solid products are cooled in a jacketed screw conveyor and collected under airtight conditions, while off-gas is thermally oxidised in the SACTO before release.
The facility is fully instrumented and controlled from an onsite control room, enabling detailed data logging, sampling, and emissions monitoring. Flexible syngas conditioning, recirculation, and engine testing options are available, alongside a smaller batch-scale kiln for pilot testing.

Throughput: 200 kg/h
Feedstock: Feedstock trials
Output: Test Biochar
Location: Australia
